Connections and wells take longer, from two weeks to two months depending on execution nature.
The best is what brings greatest benefit and kindness, and what aligns with Sunnah, like the male ram. Because the Prophet ﷺ slaughtered a ram for Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn, and it was the ransom of Prophet Ismail peace be upon him.
In Tanzania and Malawi, dealing is by head not weight. Therefore estimation is better based on number of beneficiaries (approximate numbers): Ram: up to 36 people, Ewe: up to 32 people, Large sheep: up to 45 people, Goat: up to 18 people, Male goat: up to 22 people, Calf: from 180 up to 1,000 people, depending on size. Dividing the animal into small pieces can increase the number but meals become non-filling, and satiety and kindness are our priority at Manasik.
Permissible for the deceased, and permissible for the living who are permanently unable with no hope of recovery. Not permissible for the living who can perform it themselves.
This is established in authentic Sunnah from Abdullah ibn Abbas may Allah be pleased with them: that a woman from Khath'am said: O Messenger of Allah, Allah's obligation on His servants regarding Hajj has come upon my father as an old man unable to stay on the mount, should I perform Hajj on his behalf? The Prophet ﷺ said: "Yes." Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim. Abu Razin al-Uqayli also narrated that the Prophet ﷺ told him: "Perform Hajj and Umrah for your father." Narrated by Abu Dawud, al-Tirmidhi and al-Nasa'i; al-Tirmidhi graded it hasan sahih. Majority of scholars agreed on its permissibility, and they analogized Umrah to Hajj in permissibility of deputization. Most famous who issued fatwa on this: Ibn Baz, Ibn Uthaymeen, An-Nawawi, Ibn Qudamah, Ash-Shafi'i, and Ahmad ibn Hanbal

Yes, it is permissible to repeat it as long as the inability continues or in case of death.
When a complete well is booked, the execution and operational costs are consolidated into a single order. This means that follow-up, preparation, documentation, labor, and transportation costs are incurred only once. With the shared contribution system, however, these costs are repeated separately for each contributor. For example, documenting and inaugurating a shared well may require a full working day, additional staff, extra transportation costs, as well as separate printing, filming, and detailed documentation for each contributor. As a result, part of the value of each share goes toward operational costs that do not recur when a complete well is booked. Therefore, if you are able to book a complete well, you receive greater value for the amount paid, as you avoid repeated operational costs associated with multiple contributors and benefit from a more cost-effective total price for completing the entire well.
